Submissions Welcome For ICPF University Awards Programs

The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) announced it will accept University Award Program proposals through September 1 for funding next year.

Proposals should be for larger requests—generally above $25,000—and may include equipment donation, software donation, or any need that will help maintain, grow or enhance your packaging or related programs.

A request that encompasses specific corrugated packaging industry education is not required, but highly recommended. The ICPF Board of Directors will select the award winners at their Fall Board meeting which is held in October.

Requests should be sent to Caitlin Salaverria at csalaverria@icpfbox.org and include the following (please limit to 1-3 pages):

Details of your proposal and how you plan to use the award

Timetable to complete your proposal

Details of current program status including number of students in program, annual number of graduates with printing/packaging-related degrees, etc.

New: List any partnering corrugated packaging industry companies, as well as the nature of the relationship(s) and impact on student learning opportunities (i.e. internship opportunities, plant tours, guest speakers, scholarships, testing, career fair participation, etc.).

New: Answer the following—Has your institution invested funding (internally or through other avenues) in the growth of your program in the last three years? Please explain.

Anything else you or your colleagues would think helpful for ICPF’s Board of Directors to consider your request.
