AICC Announces Keynote, Industry Speakers For Spring Meeting

AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, unveiled an exceptional lineup of keynote and industry speakers for its upcoming Spring Meeting, April 30 to May 2, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Florida. This year’s event promises to deliver invaluable insights and inspiration from some of the most influential figures in global business, leadership, and the packaging sector.

Keynote Highlights

Peter Goodman, a celebrated economics correspondent and bestselling author renowned for his deep understanding of globalization, will bring his extensive expertise to the stage. As a New York Times correspondent, Goodman has chronicled significant economic shifts and their impacts on industries and markets worldwide.

He is the author of three books, including the recently released, “How The World Ran Out Of Everything: Inside the Global Supply Chain,” and the best-selling, “Davos Man: How the Billionaires Devoured the World.” Over the course of three decades in journalism, he has covered some of the most momentous economic transformations and upheavals. He has reported from more than 50 countries, including stints in China and the UK, and in conflict zones such as Iraq, Cambodia, Sudan, and East Timor. Goodman appears frequently on major broadcast outlets.

John Foley, former lead solo pilot of the Blue Angels and a world-renowned leadership expert, will share his unique perspective on precision, teamwork, and peak performance. Foley’s distinguished career includes global advisory roles to top corporations, entrepreneurial ventures, and notable accomplishments as a naval aviator and collegiate athlete.

Foley is a Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Six-Time winner of Top Ten Carrier Pilot Award. He was part of the first US team to fly in Moscow with Russian demonstration teams and to fly in other Eastern Block countries. He did actual flying in the movie, “Top Gun” from the carrier deck of the U.S.S. Enterprise.

He is a two-year letterman for Navy Football, played in the Liberty Bowl vs. Ohio State, and in the Garden State Bowl vs. Houston, and was the last person to intercept Ohio State star quarterback Art Schliester.

Industry Insights

Diane Wolf, CEO of Carlisle Container Company, will speak about her unconventional path to leading a key player in the packaging industry. Under her leadership, Carlisle has embraced digital printing technology and has been recognized as a certified Woman Owned Business, setting new standards in the sector

George Staphos, Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, brings over three decades of equity research experience in the packaging and paper sectors. Staphos, a member of the Institutional Investor Hall of Fame, will provide an economic update crucial for understanding current and future market dynamics

Matt Morgan, Partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, will offer a legislative update on the new administration’s impact on small businesses. With his extensive experience in legal and political counsel, Morgan will provide key insights into how federal policies shape the business landscape.
