North Salt Lake, Utah based Wasatch Container announced that it has received the 2024 Pregis Renew Award for its commitment to using packaging materials with recycled content. Through these efforts, the company has helped reduce 35 metric tons of carbon emissions, a milestone that reflects their dedication to creating a more sustainable future.
“To put that into perspective, reducing 35 metric tons of CO₂ is like taking nearly eight gasoline-powered cars off the road for an entire year. It’s a powerful reminder that even small decisions, like the materials we choose, can make a real impact when they add up over time,” the company said.
The Pregis Renew Award honors companies that prioritize sustainability in their packaging choices, especially by selecting materials that lower environmental impact. Wasatch Container says it is an honor to be part of a group that shares its values and actively works to create change across the industry.
“This award wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing efforts of our team, our forward-thinking customers, and our partners at Pregis. Together, we’re proving that it’s possible to deliver quality packaging without compromising the health of our planet,” the company said.
