Students interested in machinery and manufacturing can gain knowledge and hands-on experience in a stable, well-paid industry. The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation has announced its partnership with Ivy Tech Community College at five participating campuses across Indiana to offer a new, interdisciplinary workforce degree program designed to attract maintenance technicians and machine operators to the industry.
In addition to $3,000 in scholarship funds to put towards required coursework, eligible applicants are invited to interview for a paid internship opportunity with a corrugated packaging company. ICPF offers financial support for tuition, books, and personal travel expenses.

The scholarship funds 19 credit hours over two semesters toward an Ivy Tech associate degree in one of the following programs: Advanced Automation & Robotics Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Production & Operations, and Smart Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate is interested in a manufacturing-related career and/or coursework and lives near Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Lake County, South Bend, or Valparaiso, Indiana. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of their internship.
ICPF and Ivy Tech have been working to set up internship opportunities with box plants located near the five participating campuses. Current participating companies for summer 2025 internships include:
